Eileen M. Martin, of Holbrook, formerly of Braintree passed away on November 2nd, 2023 at the age of 84.
Eileen graduated from Gate of Heaven high school, in South Boston MA. She was a proud “Gatey Girl” and maintained lifelong friendships with classmates and often attended her class reunions.
Eileen was a homemaker and had a 22-year career as a medical records clerk at the Elihu White Nursing Home in Braintree retiring in 2010.
Eileen enjoyed her yard, especially the swimming pool and family cookouts. She also loved to travel with her husband Tom and their close friends on Bermuda cruises and weekend trips to Maine and Cape Cod, as well as shopping trips to the Christmas Tree shops. Eileen also enjoyed walking and relaxing at Castle Island with family and friends.
Eileen was devoted to her family and attended all her grandchildren’s events and recitals.
She will be sadly missed.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Martin Sr., devoted mother of Thomas B. Martin Jr. and his wife Joanne of Braintree, Brian Martin of Holbrook, Christopher Martin and his wife Amy of Clinton CT, John Martin of Holbrook and Greg Martin and his wife Gina of Canton.
Cherished “Nana” of Ryan, Kelly, Craig, Brett, Erin, Katie, Leela, and Bria. Loving sister of the late Marilyn DeGrazia and Edward O’Donnell. Eileen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 12th from 3-7pm at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37), Braintree. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 13th at 10:45am at the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree. Interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30pm.
