Phyllis M Rorke

Phyllis M. Rorke of Braintree passed away peacefully surrounded by family members at Southeast Rehab & Skilled Care Center in Easton on November 18,2017 at the age of 82. Phyllis was born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 13,1935 daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Murtha) Rorke. She was raised in Medford, MA and attended Emmanuel College. Phyllis worked professionally as a chemist at Coulture Systems in Bedford for many years. She later became a Hospice volunteer and Home Health Aide for the South Shore VNA. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, reading, knitting & volunteer work. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her many nephews and nieces. Phyllis is predeceased by her sister Katherine (Rorke) MacDonald and brother Robert Rorke, both of Braintree. Phyllis touched many lives throughout her life. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 24 at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Clare 1244 Liberty St. Braintree Highlands. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St (Rt37) Braintree prior to the mass from 10-11 AM. Interment Braintree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, tributes can be made in her name to Hospice of the South Shore 30 Reservoir Park Dr. Rockland MA 02370-1055 or to the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston 637 Cambridge St, Brighton, MA 02135.
