June C (Weeks) Lord

June C. (Weeks) Lord 87 of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, passed away September 15, 2016 at the Colonial Nursing Home in Weymouth, after a courageous two year battle with cancer.  Beloved wife of 61 years of the late Walter F. Lord. Loving mother of Debra Laaperi and her husband David, Michelle Lord all of Braintree and Jeffrey Lord and his wife Nancy of Sharon. Dear grandmother of Matthew Laaperi and his wife Iris, Marissa Cicotte and her husband Sean, Jessica Schulte and her husband Peter, Alyssa Lord and Michael Lord. Great Grandchildren Alicia, Amy, Marcus and Jackson. Granddogs Bella, Baxter and Stitch. Sister to Jim and Christine Weeks, Marion and the late Alvin Peffley, Harold and the late Ann Weeks, Herbert and Margaret Weeks, and the late Joseph Weeks.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. June loved family gatherings and was an avid Patriot’s and Red Sox fan. She crocheted blankets, donating them to the hospital neonatal intensive care unit for the preemies and hats and mittens for needy children. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday September 20 at 11 AM in the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (RT37) Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit prior to the service from 10:30 -11AM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham MA 01701
