Eleanor M Rogers

Eleanor  "Ellie" Marie Rogers of Braintree, formally of South Boston, passed away surrounded by loved ones May 13, 2016 at the age of 88.  Loyal daughter of the late Seymour and Susan Watts. Beloved wife of the late John Edward Lawrence Rogers.   A loving mother to the late Eleanor Reynolds-Pellerin.   Ellie was known for her fierce independence and fortitude. After the early death of her husband, she was the sole provider for her four young children. Ellie rose through the ranks of the iconic Boston Woolworths, retiring in an established management position.  She is survived by her loving daughter Jacqueline Hanson of Rowley and her husband Philip, Jr. and their daughter, Jennifer Patterson of Rowley , her husband David and Eleanor's great grandson, Skylar as well as their son Philip Hanson III of Ipswich, his wife Joanna and Eleanor's great granddaughter, Rylee and great grandson, Philip IV; Her loving son, John Rogers of Braintree, his wife Lillian and their family Debra, Edward Moran and his wife Elyse; Her son William Rogers of Swampscott and his wife Annette and their sons Kyle and Cameron and William's son Daniel; Her granddaughter, Dr. Megan Reynolds of Utah and her husband Nicholas and Eleanor's great grandson, Finneas. She leaves a legacy of strength and determination, of laughter and of love and a world of wisdom to those she leaves behind.  A private memorial will be held.
